Privacy policy
This policy explains what Distriqa collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the service needs, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Content you submit. The audio, filenames, tags, catalogue details, and any images you upload, which we process to curate releases, prepare metadata, resolve credits, and produce release packages and cover art for you.
- Payment information. Purchases are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle processes your card or payment details; Distriqa does not see or store full payment-card numbers. We receive a record that a purchase succeeded so we can add credits to your account.
- Usage data. Basic technical logs such as request times and error information, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to operate the service: to run the production pipeline on your content, manage your account and credits, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your audio or catalogue to train models for other customers.
Service providers we rely on
- Paddle for payments, billing, and tax, as merchant of record.
- Google Cloud for hosting and database storage.
- Reference and search sources used to resolve composer and writer credits. To do this, Distriqa may send a track title or artist name to public music databases and search providers. It does not send your audio files for this purpose.
- Image generation providers used only when you choose to generate cover art, receiving the title, artist, and any art direction or reference image you provide.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. Content you upload is kept so you can continue working on your releases; you can ask us to delete it.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can ask us to export it. If you are in a region with data-protection rights such as the EU or UK, those rights apply. To make a request, email [email protected].
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your theme choice, Studio Night or Studio Day, is stored locally in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
We protect data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and will notify you of a breach where required.
